Job summary

Koch Finishing Systems in Caledonia, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Inventory Control professional to ensure parts, materials, and equipment move accurately and on schedule. The role focuses on planning shipments, managing inventory, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will handle domestic and international freight, perform cycle counts, and maintain organized storage while partnering with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve shortages quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory management in manufacturing.
• Experience with cycle counts and ERP/inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. with assistance) and operate forklift or pallet jack.
• Clear communicator who can coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate packaging and shipment of parts, materials, and equipment, including domestic and international freight.
• Obtain shipping quotes, schedule shipments, and select best transportation method.
• Prepare export/import documentation (HTS classification and invoices).
• Receive materials and verify against purchase orders.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Maintain organized storage in the warehouse and bays.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve shortages and shipping issues.
