Hood-Container-1 in St. Francisville, LA is seeking a Shipping 1 (Rotating Shift) to accurately prepare, load, and ship finished paper products in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will operate forklifts and verify shipments per customer orders, while maintaining safety and compliance with company standards. This temporary role requires attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work with drivers and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy products (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and load finished paper products according to shipping orders and schedules.
• Verify product types, quantities, and condition to ensure accurate shipments.
• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect products for damage before loading and report any issues immediately.
• Complete all required shipping paperwork and system entries accurately and on time.
• Communicate and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations.
• Assist with unloading and receiving incoming shipments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
