Franklin Water Treatment, Aqua Systems, in Avon, Indiana, seeks a detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to pull and package material, prepare bills of lading, and maintain shipment records. You’ll route orders, track outbound shipments, and provide occasional on-site deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 0–1 year experience in a shipping department (preferred).
• Forklift Operations (preferred).
• Basic understanding of computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments, confirm shipments are accurate and maintain receiving logs.
• Prepare and review for accuracy all bills of lading on shipments.
• Route orders to meet the company’s and customer’s requirements.
• Track and expedite outbound shipments with carriers; schedule truck line and other carrier pickups.
• Perform deliveries, as needed (≤25% of the time).
• Maintain records such as invoices and vendor receipts to verify shippers’ rates and resolve issues.
• Process normal and special shipments.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

In this role, you'll be responsible for pulling and packaging material for timely shipment; ensuring that all labels are accurately based on customer’s requirements; and, maintaining shipment-related records. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Receive shipments, confirms shipments are accurate and maintain receiving logs.
• Preparing and reviewing for accuracy all bills of lading on shipments.
• Routing orders to meet the company’s and customer’s requirements.
• Tracking and expediting outbound shipments with carriers; scheduling truck line and other carrier pickups.
• Perform deliveries, as needed (applicable to specific locations and limited to < 25% of the time)
• Maintain records such as (but not limited to) invoices and vendor receipts to verify shippers’ rates and resolve issues.
• Processing normal and special shipments.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle count.
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
