Job summary

Franklin Water Treatment, Aqua Systems is hiring a meticulous Shipper/Receiver to join our Manufacturing / Operations / Quality team in Avon, Indiana. You will pull and package material for on-time shipment, ensure accurate labels, and maintain shipment records.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year shipping experience, forklift familiarity, and basic MS Office skills. The role may require occasional deliveries and physical work.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and dependable with strong communication.
• 0–1 year of shipping department experience preferred.
• Forklift operations familiarity preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments, confirm accuracy, and maintain receiving logs.
• Prepare and review bills of lading for accuracy.
• Route orders to meet company and customer requirements.
• Track and expedit outbound shipments with carriers and schedule pickups.
• Perform deliveries as needed (up to 25% of time).
• Maintain records such as invoices and vendor receipts.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll be responsible for pulling and packaging material for timely shipment; ensuring that all labels are accurately based on customer’s requirements; and, maintaining shipment-related records. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Receive shipments, confirms shipments are accurate and maintain receiving logs.
• Preparing and reviewing for accuracy all bills of lading on shipments.
• Routing orders to meet the company’s and customer’s requirements.
• Tracking and expediting outbound shipments with carriers; scheduling truck line and other carrier pickups.
• Perform deliveries, as needed (applicable to specific locations and limited to < 25% of the time)
• Maintain records such as (but not limited to) invoices and vendor receipts to verify shippers’ rates and resolve issues.
• Processing normal and special shipments.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle count.
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
