Job summary

Infra Pipes in Lovelady, TX, is seeking a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to pull, pack, and load shipments, ensuring products are secure for transport.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, count inventory, inspect packaging, and maintain safety by following PPE rules and plant protocols. The role offers a safe team environment, growth opportunities, and overtime potential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Pull and pack orders, and load/unload trucks.
  • Follow plant safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Locate, count, and package products for shipment.
  • Inspect products and packaging for damage.
  • Package, palletize and secure products for shipment using appropriate tools.
  • Operate material handling devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and banders.
  • Cycle count inventory and accurately record inbound freight.
  • Identify and store purchased/manufactured fittings; be aware of overstock areas.
  • Assist with loading customer will-calls and unloading freight.
  • Unload products from flatbeds and docked vans; tie down loaded racks.

Job description

The shipper/receiver will be responsible for pulling and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks and making sure the product is secure and safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knows and follows plant safety rules and wears proper PPE
  • Knows and follows yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures
  • Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
  • Inspect products and packaging for damage
  • Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
  • Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and banders
  • Cycle count product
  • Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
  • Correctly identify and put away purchased/manufactured fittings
  • Aware of overstock areas
  • Load out customer will calls and other docked van freight
  • Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
  • Able to correctly tie down loaded flat racks
  • Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
  • Perform general warehouse duties and cleanupAll other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Ability to operate a forklift and must have a valid driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization

  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Walk, sit, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
  • Use hands for repetitive motions, equipment handling, and keyboarding.
  • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color distinction, and focus adjustment.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Work in moderate to high noise environments and varying indoor/outdoor conditions including heat, cold, humidity, dust, fumes, vibration, and moving machinery.
  • Required to wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, reflective clothing, and safety boots.
