Job summary

Infra Pipes is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee production processes, equipment, and personnel on the production floor, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality across assigned shifts.

You will learn pipe specifications, supervise 3–10 employees, train staff on SOPs, and collaborate with other departments to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient English; read safety rules, instructions, manuals, and write routine reports.
• Strong reasoning ability to solve problems and interpret instructions.
• Strong numeracy to calculate percentages, production rates, and measurements.
• Leadership to train, mentor, and enforce standards with subordinates.

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor oversees production processes, inputs/outputs, equipment, procedures, policies, and personnel on the production floor. This role ensures safety, efficiency, and quality standards are maintained while supervising and supporting employees during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and understand pipe product sizes, types, and specifications.
• Gain operational knowledge of assigned production equipment.
• Read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
• Complete and ensure accuracy of production records, reports, and paperwork.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards and correct poor quality issues as needed.
• Perform and understand tasks assigned to subordinate employees.
• Study and enforce SOPs to improve efficiency in the department.
• Collaborate with other facility departments to support production.
• Ensure safety and environmental standards are met and enforce company safety policies.
• Use SOPs to train employees effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for supervising 3–10 employees.

Qualifications

• Proficient English language skills: able to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals, and write routine reports.
• Strong reasoning ability: able to solve problems, adapt to variable situations, and interpret instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong numeracy: able to calculate figures such as percentages, production rates, and work with measurements.
• Leadership skills to train, mentor, and enforce standards with subordinates.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to use hands and fingers; able to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch; occasionally required to sit.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs (assistance required above 50 lbs).
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to verbally communicate and understand verbal/written communication face-to-face or by telephone.
