Job summary

Douglas Dynamics in Madison Heights, MI is seeking a reliable Shipper/Receiver to support our logistics operations across the plant and customers. You will move, receive, and ship product, prepare shipments, and help ensure accurate counts and documentation.

You'll work with forklifts in a fast-paced environment, follow 5S practices, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily shipping goals. This position offers a safety-focused work culture and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate a forklift safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to read packing slips, picking tickets, and BOL documents.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship incoming and outgoing products.
• Prepare shipments and secure pallets.
• Load daily outgoing product on common carriers.
• Verify counts and quality of loaded/unloaded items.
• Follow instructions and collaborate with team members.
• Perform 5S activities in the workplace.
• Operate forklifts safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Process packing slips, picking tickets, and BOL paperwork.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
