Job summary

Douglas Dynamics in Madison Heights, MI is hiring a Material Handler to stock, move, and replenish parts across fabrication and assembly cells. You will support production by maintaining part inventories, coordinating with Buyers/Planners, and ensuring 5S standards.

Qualified applicants will have forklift/ariel lift licensing, basic computer skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive pay and full benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks with little supervision.
• Must obtain/maintain a current Forklift license and aerial lift platform license.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach above shoulders and outward, bend, squat and crawl.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stock FIFO and kitted carts with parts based on production schedule.
• Restock fabricated and purchased parts in finished parts supermarket.
• Maintain organization and accuracy of finished parts supermarkets.
• Coordinate replenishment activities to support production needs.
• Operate a hi-lo (forklift) to move, stock, or replenish materials.
• Contribute to 5S and safety in the work area.
