Job summary

Community Servings is a mission-driven nonprofit delivering medically tailored meals and groceries to chronically ill individuals and families in Massachusetts. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory, and ensuring safe handling in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The role requires driving a refrigerated box truck between Mansfield and Jamaica Plain, inspecting goods, and supervising volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving or similar role.
• Experience in receiving and tracking inventory and food handling sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect received goods for lot, labeling, expiry, and condition.
• Store items properly and rotate stock daily.
• Maintain walk-in fridge and dry storage, report issues.
• Drive a refrigerated box truck between Mansfield and Jamaica Plain locations.
• Maintain inventory charts of daily usage.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices are followed.
• Provide supply support to Kitchen leadership.
• Oversee volunteer staff in shipping/receiving.
• Attend bi-weekly kitchen operations and monthly staff meetings.
