Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Material Handler in Mentor, OH, to support warehouse operations and keep production lines running smoothly. The role requires keeping inventory accurate and moving materials efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 1:00pm–9:00pm shift, Monday through Friday, with a starting pay of $22.47/hour plus a $2/hour shift differential. Strong organizational and safety-minded candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with material handling equipment and inventory software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential.
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Load, unload, and transfer raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across shipping, receiving, and production areas using material handling equipment.
• Inventory Control: Complete transactions in the Inventory Management System (MFGPro), perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Operational Support: Deliver supplies to production, manage rack/drum inventories, support 5S housekeeping and recycling initiatives.
• Safety & Quality: Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and coordinate with shifts to optimize workflow.

Minimum Education Required

• High School/GED

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities

• High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and utilizing inventory software (MFGPro preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to a safety-first mindset.
• Ability to work overtime and adapt quickly to shifting daily
