Job Summary

As directed by the Warehouse Lead Hand the shipper receiver is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of all aspects of the shipping and receiving activities.

Responsibilities

1. Receives, accounts for number of pieces, and distributes incoming shipments accurately.
2. Checks customer order for accuracy (items and number of pieces).
3. Packs, ships and generates proper documents such as dangerous goods waybills for outgoing shipments.
4. Assists in maintenance functions as assigned by Warehouse Ops manager.
5. Contacts carriers for pick‑ups using phone.
6. Maintains Receipt Log Book and Pick Up Record Logs.
7. Back‑up for Order Fillers.
8. Responsible for inspection of trailers and products for GMP compliance.
9. Report deviations.
10. Manages conformance to all regulatory and GMP standards ensuring all required procedures are followed and required reporting is done on a timely basis. Participate and ensures direct report participation in annual GMP training.
11. Provide information to the Warehouse Operations Manager, and/or Quality Assurance Manager regarding any unique situations e.g. damaged stock.
12. Use material handling equipment provided.
13. Other duties as required.
14. Monitors temperature recorders to ensure measurement is ongoing: change charts weekly; log daily temperature; report and document deviations.

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum education required: high school diploma.
• Minimum experience required: 3 years warehouse operations experience plus 3 months on‑the‑job training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
