Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group seeks a warehouse associate to support shipping and receiving operations at our Ashland, OH site. You will operate a forklift/pallet jack, pack and label items, and ensure timely processing of shipments with accurate BOL documentation.

No prior experience required; safety rules must be followed. You’ll participate in cycle counts and cross-train on additional production tasks as needed, while maintaining a neat work area.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and procedures.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure items are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment.
• Document and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Safely and accurately load all outbound freight.
• Manually load and unload trailers, and complete bill of lading documents.
• Identify, record, and report issues or non-conformities related to product and quality.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions as needed.
• Clean and maintain the assigned area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Ensures goods shipped and received are accurate, orders are packed and processed correctly and in a timely, cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure items are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment.
• Document and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Safely and accurately load all outbound freight.
• Manually load and unload trailers, and complete supporting documents (i.e., bill of lading (BOL))
• Identify, record, and provide recommendations for any issues or non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
• Clean and maintain assigned area.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• No formal education required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• No prior experience or training.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Prior experience driving a forklift and maintaining documentation preferred
• Familiarity with shipping software preferred
