Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a shop/warehouse associate to ensure goods shipped and received are accurate, and orders are packed and processed safely and on time.

No formal education or experience required; you will operate a forklift or pallet jack, load outbound freight, unload inbound deliveries, maintain shipping records, assist inventory, and keep work area clean. Tremco offers health insurance, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k) and performance-based bonuses.

• Unload inbound trailer deliveries and read/complete supporting documents (BOL).
• Identify, record, and provide recommendations for issues/ non-conformities related to product/ process/ quality.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions as needed.
• Clean and maintain assigned area.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Ensures goods shipped and received are accurate, and orders are packed and processed correctly and in a timely and cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure items are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment.
• Document and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Safely and accurately load all outbound freight.
• Unload inbound trailer deliveries and read/complete supporting documents (i.e., bill of lading (BOL)).
• Identify, record, and provide recommendations for any issues or non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
• Clean and maintain assigned area.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 75 lbs.

• The hourly rate/salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $18.45 and $21.39. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
