JOB TITLE: SHIPPER RECEIVER

LOCATION: LEBANON, OH

Plasti-Fab (A Carlisle Company) creates lasting communities by innovating Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) products for construction and civil infrastructure applications. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper Receiver to join our team. This role ensures the efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments to support smooth operations.

Position Summary

Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate shipping, receiving, and movement of materials, supplies, and products.

Functional Responsibilities

1. Ensure safety is the top priority in all work performed.
2. Receive shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage.
3. Unload trucks and move materials to storage or staging areas.
4. Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments accurately.
5. Coordinate shipping schedules with carriers and internal teams.
6. Ensure proper documentation accompanies shipments (bills of lading, customs forms).
7. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling and storage.
8. Use forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment to move heavy materials safely.
9. Perform regular inventory counts and cycle checks.
10. Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
11. Operate warehouse management or ERP systems for order tracking and inventory updates.
12. Follow company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
13. Handle documentation filing and digital records accurately.
14. Support continuous improvement initiatives in shipping and warehouse processes.
15. Wear required PPE and carry out physical demands, including lifting, bending, and standing.
16. Assist in training new team members as needed.
17. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills & Knowledge

1. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels.
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, data entry).
4. Capable of handling time-sensitive materials and meeting deadlines.
5. Understanding of safety, WHMIS, and material handling best practices.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Forklift certification is an asset.
3. Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment is an asset.
4. Experience with ERP or inventory systems is preferred.
5. Knowledge of freight carriers, shipping practices, and logistics.

Physical Requirements

1. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
2. Able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
3. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
