Job summary

Westaff is seeking a 1st shift Shipping/Receiving Associate in Gardner, MA for an immediate start. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a pay rate of $20/hour.

The Shipper/Receiver moves goods, maintains inventory records, and coordinates with shipping carriers. Tasks include filling orders, preparing bills of lading, labels, packing slips, using scales and strapping tools, and operating a forklift as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience.
• Experience with UPS and FedEx labeling and shipping systems.
• IQMS knowledge preferred.

Summary: The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the timely movement of goods in and out of the Warehouse, and keeping accurate records of inventory.

Job Duties:

• Perform a variety of routine duties to fill orders for shipment and receive incoming materials.
• Work from shipping orders with both written and verbal instruction.
• Prepare bill of lading forms, shipping labels and packing slips.
• Use weighing scales and strapping equipment.
• Move material as required using fork truck and other material handling equipment.
• Ship orders using FedEx/UPS computer systems.

Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of experience in Shipping/Receiving, utilizing shipping software/packages and established shipping procedures.
• Must be proficient with Incoming/Outgoing freight, UPS, FedEx labeling and other shipping systems, as well as, experience utilizing a Company’s operating system (IQMS knowledge preferred).
