Tremco CPG Inc. is seeking an entry-level Shipping/Receiving Associate in Columbus, GA to manage inbound and outbound shipments and maintain accurate records. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a busy distribution environment.

No formal education or prior experience is required, and the position offers on-site work with opportunities to learn forklift operation, packing, labeling, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure items are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment.
• Document and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Safely and accurately load outbound freight.
• Manually load and unload trailers, and complete supporting documents (e.g., bill of lading).
• Identify, record, and provide recommendations for any issues or non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
• Clean and maintain assigned area.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping software preferred.

General Purpose Of The Job

Ensures goods shipped and received are accurate, orders are packed and processed correctly and in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Physical Demands

Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
