Job summary

Hunter Truck in Clarksburg, NJ is hiring for a full-time warehouse associate. Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, pay $19–$23 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities include unpacking, inspecting, routing shipments, inventory counts, and coordinating with drivers and sales staff.

POSITION AT A GLANCE

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Unpack, inspect, and route incoming shipments; record shortages, reject damaged items, and coordinate with inventory control to resolve issues.
• Compare shipment details against invoices, bills of lading, orders, or other records to ensure accuracy for both incoming and outgoing parts.
• Determine if parts are for pickup at the parts counter, delivery to customers, or shop repair orders.
• Stock parts accurately, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and keep items easily accessible.
• Conduct inventory counts with inventory control, including off-site consignment counts when needed.
• Assist in identifying slow-moving inventory, suggest optimal stocking locations, and provide feedback on max inventory levels.
• Work with inventory control on returns to OEM manufacturers, meeting shipment requirements and deadlines.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, etc.) and personal protective equipment; report any equipment needing repair.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and warehouse supplies.
• Collaborate with drivers and outside sales staff to stage parts for delivery or pickup.
• Adhere to and promote all health and safety policies to reinforce a safe working environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months of related experience (or equivalent combination). Basic computer knowledge required .
• Communication Skills: Able to read instructions, manuals, and safety rules; communicate effectively in writing and verbally with co-workers, departments, customers, and vendors.
• Certifications & Licenses: OSHA-approved forklift certification required; valid driver’s license required and must meet company insurability standards.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling. Regularly lift/move up to 15 lbs , frequently up to 25 lbs , and occasionally up to 100 lbs (manual and mechanical assistance available). Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision.
