Job summary

Amphenol Printed Circuit Board Technology is seeking a Shipping Clerk responsible for transaction, receipt, and shipment of goods both foreign and domestic, while maintaining accurate documentation on all transactions.

The role involves updating the order entry system with current shipments, receiving materials into the ERP against open POs, maintaining shipping material inventory, and performing special packaging to protect product quality. OT may be required.

Qualifications

  • Six months to one year of shipping experience or training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Working with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

  • Update order entry system with current shipments and prepare packing lists along with certificates of conformance with each statement.
  • Receive material into the ERP system against open purchase orders and communicate receiving issues to escalation paths.
  • Maintain an inventory of all required shipping materials.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for supplies as needed.
  • Perform special packaging to ensure delivery of a protected quality product.
  • Keep shelves stocked with various supplies at all times.
  • Follow established safety procedures and report any issues.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
  • May cross-train in other departments.
  • May be required to pick up and deliver materials and/or product to customer or supplier locations in company vehicle.

  • Must be able to receive material into the ERP system against open purchase orders and communicate receiving issues to escalation paths.
  • Maintains an inventory of all required shipping materials.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for supplies as needed.
  • Performs special packaging to insure delivery of a protected quality product.
  • Responsible for keeping shelves stocked with various supplies at all times.
  • Follows established safety procedures and reports.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • May be required to pick up and deliver materials and/or product to customer or supplier locations in company vehicle.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related Shipping experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, multi task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills a plus- Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel-Typing and/or Data Entry skills desired.
  • Valid driver’s license
