Job summary

Zekelman Industries, located in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:30am). You will pick, pack, and load steel tube and pipe, operate standard warehouse equipment, and ensure accurate order fulfillment onsite.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing. You must be detail-oriented, able to communicate across teams, and committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing.
• Basic math and strong communication skills; ability to follow procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Receive, inspect, and report damages on incoming materials.
• Rotate stock and operate reach truck or forklift.
• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. Operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling.

3rd Shift - 10:00pm - 6:30am

Pay - $24.50

• Champions and enforces safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Processes and fulfills orders from customers and internal teams.
• Picks, packs, and stages orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receives, inspects, and processes incoming materials, reporting any damages.
• Replenishes warehouse stock and rotates inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
• Standardizes and optimizes shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

• Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.
• High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.
