Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Shipper to support warehouse operations. You will pick, pack, load, and ship steel tube and pipe, maintaining safety and accuracy while ensuring timely shipments and inventory control.

First shift hours 6:00am–2:30pm, pay $23.50 per hour. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, good math and communication skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and scanning tools in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipping.
• Load shipments onto trucks and verify with scanning tools.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials for damages.
• Operate forklifts and reach trucks safely.

This role plays a key part in ensuring timely shipments, proper inventory control, and organized material flow within the facility.1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pmPay: $23.50What You’ll DoChampion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages or discrepancies.Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.Perform additional duties as assigned.Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.Who You AreMinimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing operations.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Basic math skills for accurate order processing.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.Physical AbilitiesAbility to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment.What You’ll GetZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
