Job summary

rabbittransit seeks a Paratransit/Fixed Route CDL Bus Driver to serve Shippensburg, PA. Responsibilities include safe passenger transport, handling fares, and adhering to routes and schedules.

Must hold CDL Class A or B with P endorsement and air brake restrictions lifted. Non-CDL driver option available if requirements are not met. Full benefits offered; operation hours align with weekdays and select Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Air Brake restriction must be lifted (no L, Z, or N on CDL). If not CDL holder, non-CDL driver eligible.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and maintain accurate records.
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs and mobility devices.
• Receive and account for fares using radio communications.
• Follow emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• Complete duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor/Site Manager.

Paratransit Driver/Fixed Route CDL Bus Driver - Shippensburg, PA

Vehicle Pick Up/Drop Off Location: Shippensburg University Campus, behind Memorial Auditorium (on Adams Drive, after or before Dauphin Drive depending on travel)

Office Location: 300 North Prince Street, Shippensburg, PA - Richard Rife Alumni House

Pay: $19.00 when driving Paratransit Operator - $ 21.00 when driving Fixed Route

Schedule: Will fall within our operating hours of Monday thru Friday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and Saturdays 12:30 PM - 7 PM.

Requirements - Must have this COMPLETELY at time of application for this position:

• Already have CDL Class A or B WITH Passenger Endorsement ("P" Endorsement), AND Air Brake Restriction Lifted (No "L", No "Z" and No "N" Restrictions on CDL). If do not have this completely, can apply for Non CDL Driver.

Responsibilities include completing inspections, maintaining accurate records, assisting passengers with wheelchairs and other mobility devices, receiving and accounting for fares, using radio communications, following emergency procedures, and completing other activities assigned by the Operations Supervisor/ Site Manager.
