Job summary
Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA, is seeking a Test Engineer for the VCS Test Group within Department E25. You will synthesize customer needs into system test solutions and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans for Virginia Class Submarines.

Qualifications
- ABET Bachelor's degree with 2 years of exempt experience or equivalent.
- Master’s degree with no required experience or PDP NNS Apprentice Certificate.
- PDP NNS Apprentice Certificate eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans for systems.
- Coordinate integrated testing activities and review test requirements.
- Diagnose system-level issues across pumps, valves, hydraulics and seawater systems.
- Maintain configuration control and document test results and deficiencies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Planning and vendors to resolve issues.
