Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Computer Engineering intern to help modernize data analysis and visualization. You\'ll join a multidisciplinary team developing approaches for data-driven performance of defense systems.

You will learn legacy applications, prototype data-management solutions using SQL Server, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and apply AI. You’ll collaborate in an Agile environment with GitLab and Jira, and prepare technical reports for sponsors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript.
• 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Able to obtain Interim Secret clearance by start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain legacy software with modernization focus.
• Prototype data-management and visualization solutions.
• Collaborate on sensor and data-acquisition systems for testing.
• Work in an Agile team using GitLab and Jira.
• Prepare technical reports and sponsor briefings.
