Job summary

T-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Port Engineer in Mayport, FL to ensure operational readiness of ships. You will lead a maintenance team and serve as the primary representative for TYCOM and the Commanding Officer in off-ship maintenance and modernization efforts.

You will validate shipboard conditions, manage job databases, coordinate with ship personnel, review plans, and provide risk assessments and funding input for work packages. Expect 5–15% travel as needed.

Qualifications

• USCG license or equivalent maritime competency required.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or higher.
• Experience with ship maintenance and repair programs and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Validate shipboard conditions and support maintenance readiness.
• Lead a maintenance team and act as TYCOM/CO liaison for off-ship maintenance and modernization.
• Manage an online database of jobs, estimates, and work packages.
• Coordinate schedules with ship crew, repair activities and funding decisions.
• Attend planning meetings and provide input on maintenance plans and risks.
