Zusammenfassung

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an onboard Physician to evaluate and treat crew and guests at sea. You will report to the Chief Physician shore side and Lead Physician shipboard, overseeing medical debarks, safety drills, and emergency response.

Requirements include active STCW licensure, medical degree, pediatric experience, and BLS/PALS/ALCS/ACLS certifications. This shipboard role offers year-round benefits and the chance to live at sea.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold an active medical license from an STCW country.
• Must have a medical degree from a recognized college/university in an STCW country.
• Provide a letter of good standing from the Medical Board/Council prior to joining a vessel.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in general and emergency medicine, trauma care or critical care.
• Experience treating pediatric patients (emergency, inpatient or outpatient).
• BLS certification is required.
• PALS certification is required.
• ALCS/ACLS certification required.
• Valid accredited BLS/PALS/ALS/ACLS certificates prior to embarking.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records.

Aufgaben

• Supervise shore referrals and medical debarks of crew members with Shoreside Medical Services.
• Monitor crew marked as unfit for duty.
• Communicate accurately with Medical Services shore personnel regarding guest medical debarks.
• Consult with Senior Physician for medical disembark decisions.
• Maintain open communication with leaders of other ship departments.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports (AGE, Unfit for Duty, Health Declarations).
• Follow ACEP Guidelines and Vessel Sanitation Program requirements.
• Attend drills scheduled by Safety Officer and participate in Emergency Stretcher Team training.
• Support duties common to onboard staff including lifeboat drills and captain's duties.
• Handle controlled substances appropriately and disposal.
• Assist with crew immunization programs.
