Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking a Network Refresh SME to lead planning, installation and testing of shipboard network infrastructure in Seattle. You will upgrade switches, routers, firewalls, wireless and cabling for a dry-dock project.

The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating with shipyard teams, ensuring safety, documenting changes, and providing handover notes. Prior network engineering experience in maritime or confined environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Network upgrade and refresh of onboard equipment, including switches/routers/firewalls.
• Work in shipyard/dry dock environment and coordinate with ship staff.
• Review drawings, plan cutover, remove legacy gear, install new infrastructure.
• Configure devices to standards and test connectivity, performance, redundancy.
• Update drawings, inventories, IP lists, and provide handover notes.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues during installation and acceptance testing.
