Job summary

Ampcus, Inc is seeking a Network Engineer to analyze shipboard and shoreside network requirements and implement cost-effective solutions supporting fleet operations. You will configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, security, cloud, and internet connectivity infrastructure.

You will work with shipboard teams, shoreside IT, vendors, and project stakeholders during newbuilds, dry docks, fleet upgrades, and daily operations to deliver reliable and secure network

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Networking, or related field.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience configuring and managing enterprise networking infrastructure.
• Experience with routers, switches, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, and security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze shipboard and shoreside data networks based on business needs.
• Configure, implement, upgrade, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BoM) and provide end-to-end technical oversight for network projects.
• Evaluate LAN/WAN hardware, software, cloud services for improvements.
• Create network standards, topology diagrams, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate maintenance, vendor updates, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
• Travel internationally 30-35% for shipboard projects.
