Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Part-Time On-Call Field Technician/Engineer to lead installation and commissioning of shipboard network-based CCTV security systems aboard vessels, coordinating with OEMs, marine engineers, and industrial support.

The role requires evaluating shipboard environments, installing equipment, testing systems, and ensuring compliance with ABS and USCG rules, with potential transition to full-time based on performance; strong problem-solving and ability to work

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• 5 years’ experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs.
• Experience in installing, modifying, or maintaining shipboard CCTV systems and/or networks with ABS/USCG requirements.
• Experience in IP-related services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP.
• Familiar with Windows and/or Unix operating systems.
• Experience using VISIO and MS Office.
• Physical ability to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of shipboard CCTV systems and related network equipment.
• Evaluate shipboard environments for equipment installation and fit.
• Install/oversee installation of equipment and cables.
• Perform onsite testing and coordinate with other engineers.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at commissioning.
• Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
