Qualifications

• High School education or Trade School with 4 years related experience.
• Experience inspecting shipboard electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, schematics for naval systems.
• Experience with electrical wiring and continuity testing devices.
• Ability to plan layout and installation based on specs and drawings.
• Ability to train sailors in troubleshooting aboard naval vessels.
• Must obtain and maintain DoD security clearance and base access.
• Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair shipboard electrical systems and components.
• Utilize drawings, manuals, and schematics to ensure naval compliance and safety.
• Interface with customers and manage subcontractors; provide work direction.
• Develop and use formal work packages and test documents.
• Schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management.
• Perform duties outside specialty to complete installations or work.
