Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an Information Systems Engineer to join our West Coast team. The role ensures continuous operation and support of critical shipboard technology systems, reporting to the Information Systems Manager.

Frequent travel to vessels is required to repair and maintain installed information systems and support fleet operations. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in information systems roles, strong Windows/ hardware/software skills, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Information Systems Technician or equivalent role.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and supporting hardware/software.
• Familiarity with network and security fundamentals and remote management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full operation of safety-related technologies as per regulations.
• Repair, replace, and maintain information systems across vessels.
• Troubleshoot outages and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Install equipment, configure wireless networking, and improve networks.
• Perform basic low-voltage work and diagnostics on A/V gear.
• Evaluate connectivity, equipment, software, and hardware for performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and crew to ensure system functionality.
• Supervise contractors as needed and assist with software features.
• Respond to IT tickets promptly and oversee system error resolution.
• Maximize guest satisfaction through timely tech support.
• Support shipboard operating technologies across the fleet.
