Job summary

Noblis MSD is hiring an Industrial Controls Systems Engineer to support NAVSEA/NSWCPD and modernize shipboard control systems. The role includes design, integration, cybersecurity, and software development for laboratory and field deployments.

The engineer will work with Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, SCADA, and related tools, contributing to lifecycle management and validation efforts on US Navy and Coast Guard platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field with minimal experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or able to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Travel 20% of time.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, model/simulate, and integrate naval shipboard control systems in a lab environment.
• Develop equipment integration designs for networking, SCADA, simulators, and test tools.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices and hardening for industrial control systems.
• Develop software using Java, C#, C++, Python, and Visual Basic.
• Perform PLC engineering with Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens SIMATIC Step 7 / TIA Portal.
• Develop and deploy industrial interfaces, databases, device interfaces, and analytics.
• Support shipboard implementation of control systems and validation efforts.
• Create technical documentation packages.
