Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is hiring a Shipboard Human Resources Manager to serve as the primary contact for crew employee relations, performance management, and HR initiatives on a Disney Cruise Vessel. You will collaborate with vessel leaders, acting as a trusted advisor while reporting to the Manager, Human Resources (shipboard).

Live and work aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel, guiding HR programs, supporting leadership development, and ensuring a fair, inclusive, and high-performing onboard

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of formal Human Resources experience in at least one functional area (e.g., learning and development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, compliance, workforce planning & administration).
• Minimum of one year experience in employee relations and/or performance management concepts and practices.
• Minimum of 1 year in a leadership and/or Operations role.

Responsibilities

• Delivers key shipboard HR functions—including Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, and Learning and Development—while serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a resource to Crew in cultivating a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen and a consultative approach to anticipate needs, assess challenges, and deliver innovative HR solutions aligned with priorities and vessel needs.
• Maintains focus on enhancing the Crew experience by aligning efforts with company values to foster an inclusive onboard environment.
• Partners with shipboard leaders to strengthen leadership behaviors and implement tailored training, including assessments and development strategies.
• Conducts needs assessments to identify opportunities in training, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitates team effectiveness sessions and HR training courses for returning and new hire Crew and Officers.
