JRC Integrated Systems in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Shipboard Integration Engineer to adapt the new flight vehicle for Virginia Class submarine operations. You will collaborate with platform, flight vehicle, and test teams to define interfaces and mature simulations for HWIL and SWIL testing.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional coordination, MBSE, and rigorous verification, with travel ~50% to test ranges and facilities.

Qualifications

• Defense-related systems engineering experience on missile or aerospace MDAPs.
• Minimum 7 years of defense systems engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Naval shipboard systems or mission planning.
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret / SCI.

Responsibilities

• Define and mature interfaces between flight vehicle and submarine.
• Guide development of flight vehicle simulators including HWIL and SWIL testing.
• Lead MBSE, digital thread management, and configuration control.
• Ensure requirements traceability, verification, and validation processes.
• Plan and execute flight system to payload integration activities and handoffs.
• Lead flight to shipboard verification, test procedures, and results analysis.
