Job summary

JRC Careers in Washington, DC, is seeking a seasoned SE Engineer for missile subsystem support equipment and simulators, to advance DoD programs and field operations.

You will lead design, procurement, and testing efforts, coordinate with RTX, NUWC, and Navy facilities, and mentor junior staff while traveling ~50%. A strong engineering background with DoD policies, Top Secret clearance, and a master’s degree are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 7+ years in defense system engineering with leadership on an MDAP.
• Security clearance: Active Top Secret required.
• Knowledge of DoD 5000-series acquisition policies and related standards.
• DAWIA Advanced Certification, INCOSE CSEP/ESEP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, modification, procurement, and activation of missile subsystems SE.
• Lead engineer for missile subsystem simulators delivery for development and testing.
• Collaborate with branches to plan SE and Simulator deliveries.
• Coordinate with contracts and finance to fund and schedule deliveries.
• Develop requirements and plans, and manage execution with RTX and NUWC.
• Support system-level testing at prime contractor and Navy facilities.
• Support SE installation, training, and facility activation at SWF.
• Maintain integrated schedules and risk management for SE and test.
• Mentor peers and junior staff on SE and Simulator capabilities.
