Job summary

TMMG, Inc. in Marinette, WI, seeks a hands‑on Production Support/Engineering Change specialist to link engineering requirements with deck‑plate execution on Fincantieri Marinette Marine ships.

The role spans reviewing drawings, ECNs, and production orders while stationed onsite at the shipyard. You will travel to support milestones, coordinate across Engineering, Planning, Material, Scheduling, and Manufacturing, and verify that completed work reflects approved configurations.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipyard or industrial production environments.
• Ability to read and interpret ship construction drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, work packages, and engineering changes.
• Experience researching production problems, determining root causes, and coordinating corrective actions across organizations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Baan) and production-control processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an interface between Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure requirements can be executed on the vessel.
• Identify conditions that prevent or complicate installation and coordinate across departments to resolve them.
• Conduct routine ship checks and deck-plate inspections to verify conditions aboard vessels under construction or repair.
• Update and maintain status trackers, dashboards, and reports showing open changes and progress toward resolution.
• Communicate technical and production issues clearly to management and trades and provide direction for corrective actions.
