Qualifications

• Previous maritime, shipyard, industrial, or commercial electrical experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with shipboard electrical systems and marine environments preferred.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments including climbing, lifting, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and ability to access local shipyards.
• Strong attendance, communication, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine electrical systems and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Run cable, install lighting, panels, switches, and electrical equipment aboard vessels
• Test electrical systems and diagnose faults using meters and testing equipment
• Follow OSHA, NAVSEA, and shipyard safety procedures
• Work effectively alongside supervisors, tradespeople, and shipyard personnel
• Maintain clean and safe work areas throughout projects
