Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with substantial electrical coursework.
• 1–3 years of professional engineering experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain shipboard electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Provide electrical engineering support for design and integration of shipboard control systems.
• Construct, configure, and maintain engineering laboratories, including equipment racks and fixtures.
• Install, commission, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment and interfaces.
• Operate, commission, test, and troubleshoot Rockwell PLC hardware and interfaces.
• Integrate new equipment and modify laboratory systems to meet requirements.
• Train and mentor engineers in lab construction, wiring practices, and equipment operation.
• Review and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Provide occasional support for equipment procurement and lab maintenance.
