Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining hardware/software designs, developing operating procedures, testing equipment, writing technical reports, and communicating with shipyards, management, and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include a GPA of at least 3.0, relevant coursework or experience in control systems, power electronics, hardware/software development, or microprocessor-based equipment, programming experience, technical work experience, teamwork, initiative, leadership, interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, test, deploy, and support shipboard electrical instrumentation and control systems for the U.S. Navy, including systems for next-generation submarines.
  • Maintain and improve hardware and software designs, develop operating procedures, troubleshoot and test equipment, conduct technical evaluations, write reports, and communicate with coworkers, shipyards, management, and customers.
