Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Control Systems Security Engineer to serve as a control system security consultant for the electric and propulsion plant for COLUMBIA Class test programs.

This role supports continuous monitoring and enforcement of RMF-based cybersecurity requirements, writes and delivers training, coordinates with DoD customer teams, and reviews equipment vendor software for compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Systems, Computer, Electrical Engineering or IT Cybersecurity.
• 5–10 years of relevant system engineering and/or engineering experience.
• Experience with risk management framework (RMF).
• Active Final DoD SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous monitoring and enforcement of control systems security risk assessments.
• Write and provide training to enforce control systems security compliance.
• Track requirements that are not being met and coordinate with customer teams.
• Troubleshoot shipboard and prototypic equipment; collaborate with engineers to resolve security discrepancies.
• DoD/DoN platform IT system analysis and development of security control implementation plans.
