Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in West Springfield, MA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive and unload incoming materials, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and ensure accurate shipment processing.

You will sort, log, label, package inventory, inspect for damages, operate a forklift and pallet jack, and support other departments while maintaining safety and quality standards. Weekend shifts Fri–Mon 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour with benefits.

• DOT required.

• Ability to lifting packages or equipment up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming materials; verify packing slip vs. purchase order.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments; process returns from customers.
• Sort, count, package, label, inspects inventory; logs shipments and receipts.
• Inspect shipments for damages; record discrepancies and notify supervisor.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift as needed.
• Follow safety, quality and environmental standards; support continuous improvement.
• Assist other departments as required.

• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft office products.
• Capability of lifting packages or equipment up to 50lbs.
• Help other departments.
