Job summary

LOGISTEC is seeking a Ship Crane Operator for our Gulf Coast terminal in Gibsonton, FL. You will safely operate ship-to-shore cranes and related equipment to discharge vessels and support production targets.

The role requires 6 months of crane operation experience, English communication, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. A TWIC card and valid driver’s license are preferred, with pre-employment checks and certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience with Ship Crane Operation (marine terminal or heavy industrial environment preferred).
• Must possess valid crane training certification if you do not have work experience (Gantry GL/GLE or K4).
• Understanding of methods, materials, tools, and equipment for Crane Operation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card (visit TSA for TWIC requirements).
• Valid US driver's license.
• Work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters.
• All employees must pass background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical.

• Inspection of equipment for defects or damage before and after operation
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards

• Attentive to operations and surroundings
• Follow scheduling and production goals set by management
• Work as a team to meet, achieve, and exceed goals when possible

Qualifications

To succed as a Ship Crane Operator you must have:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 6 months experience with Ship Crane Operation (marine t erminal or heavy industrial environment preferred).
• Must possess valid relevant crane training certification if you do not have work experience. This includes Gantry Crane, GL/GLE, or K4 Crane Training.
• Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for Crane Operation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English

• Valid US driver's license
• As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions.
