Job summary

UPS is seeking a permanent, on-site supervisor to lead warehouse teams in Detroit, MI. The role focuses on safeguarding safety, improving productivity, training staff, and ensuring consistent execution across shifts.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent, strong communication skills, and experience managing in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Flexibility for up to five days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs (32 kg).
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, develops, and holds workgroups accountable for safety, production and attendance.
• Maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, and safety.
• Leads relationships with employees, management, and customers across the organization.
• Ensures compliance with department, station, corporate and local government requirements.
• Provides coaching and orientation for new hires.
• Manages department resources to maximize output and efficiency.
