Job summary

Specialty Resins in Pasadena, TX, is seeking a full-time Chemical Process Technician/Plant Operator. You will operate plant equipment from the control board and in the field, package products, and coordinate with lab and maintenance to ensure a safe, cost-effective, high-quality output.

You will monitor reactions, temperatures, batch sequencing, and equipment like centrifuges and dryers, maintain logs, and perform routine safety checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or desirable.
• Satisfactory completion of Chemical Process Technician course or related experience.
• Experience in batch plant operations and solids handling is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment from board and field to produce quality product safely.
• Monitor control board and indicators to maintain correct process conditions.
• Monitor raw materials, batch progression, dosing, and temperature control.
• Package products, sample for lab, and maintain contamination control.
• Keep logs: batch processing, centrifuge/drier conditions, and packaging inventories.
• Report abnormal conditions and write up process upsets promptly.
• Perform safety checks, receive/unload materials, and assist maintenance as needed.
