Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.

• Full time - Airport Security - Columbus OH - $24.33 / Hour
• Must have security background
• Must have management background

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
• Cross-train officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
• Make recommendations for personnel actions for those under their supervision
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
• Ensure training and screening elements for security personnel are met
• Maintain overtime to a minimum or predefined level
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance through inspections
• Perform other operational functions like payroll, incident reports, security surveys, and post orders

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements as per local laws
• Current and valid driver’s license
• One of the following:
• Associate’s degree or higher
• Military service
• Auxiliary police or police cadets
• At least one year of security experience
• Two years of verifiable work experience demonstrating:
• Customer service skills
• Poise during emergencies
• Understanding and applying orders, report writing
• Effective communication skills, planning, problem-solving, and team motivation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to assess situations quickly and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300
• Knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or EMT
