Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term role that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The Trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions, supporting store management in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management: Work effectively with store management and crews, supervise activities, and communicate effectively.
• Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS customer service culture, handle customer relations, maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Hours: 40 per week
• Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and location
