Shift Supervisor Trainee – CVS Health

Join CVS Health as a Shift Supervisor Trainee. This entry‑level, short‑term role prepares an employee to perform a higher‑level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee completes basic operations and management skills training and learns key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions.

Essential Functions

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, weekend shifts and overtime as needed.
• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise the store’s crew by assigning, directing, and following up on all activities.
• Effectively communicate information to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, and thank).
• Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers.
• Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent – Preferred but Not Required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20

Time Type: Part Time

Pay Range: $16.50 – $24.00 per hour. (Base hourly rate; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors.)
