The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee to perform higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.
Required Qualifications: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in retail.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
The typical pay range for this role is $21.51 - $29.01 per hour. Actual offer depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
