Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees will perform tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, complete basic management training, and learn about key business aspects, including customer loyalty and CVS culture. Upon successful completion, trainees may be considered for promotion to supervisory roles that support store operations and enhance customer service.

Essential Functions

• Assist in managing store operations and team supervision
• Communicate effectively with management and staff
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing questions, problems, and complaints
• Promote CVS’s customer service culture by greeting, helping, and thanking customers
• Maintain customer confidentiality and ensure a positive shopping experience

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
