Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned work to develop management skills, complete basic operations training, and learn about CVS/pharmacy's culture and customer service focus.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions, which support store management in driving store performance and customer loyalty. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture—greeting, offering help, thanking customers
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 29
Part-time position
Pay range: To be determined based on experience and other factors.
