Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned tasks to develop management skills, learn about key aspects of the business, and understand CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion of the program makes candidates eligible for promotion to supervisory roles, which involve supporting store management, ensuring smooth operations, and leading store staff in the absence of a manager.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store activities, including assigning tasks, directing staff, and following up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and team members
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with inquiries, issues, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Weekly hours: 25
Time type: Part-time
Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
